Spring acted as financial advisor to PVO-Vesivoima and Tornionlaakson Sähkö (TLS) in the sale of Tornionlaakson Voima to funds managed by Downing.
Tornionlaakson Voima, jointly owned by PVO-Vesivoima and TLS and operating three hydropower plants in the Tengeliönjoki river system, is being acquired by funds managed by Downing, a renewable energy-focused investment manager. The transaction is expected to be completed in spring 2026.
The transaction supports the sellers’ strategic focus on their core businesses and their development. Downing has extensive experience in renewable energy in the Nordics and is well positioned to continue and further develop Tornionlaakson Voima’s operations going forward.
