Spring Advisor acted as the financial advisor to Nevel Oy in the establishment of a new joint venture with Sotkan Voima Oy. The joint venture, Sotkamon Energia, will be responsible for the production, distribution, customer service, and development of district heating in the municipality of Sotkamo. Operations are planned to begin in early 2026.
The goal of the joint venture is to develop Sotkamo’s district heating through a new operating model that supports sustainable and competitive long-term solutions. The joint venture will take on full responsibility for the district heating system, enhancing security of supply and maintenance, enabling investments in new technologies such as electrification, and supporting the path toward responsible and carbon-neutral energy production.
