Spring Advisor acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Oomi and its owner, Oomi Palvelut Oy, in the arrangement where Oomi and Lumme Energia merge to form Finland’s largest electricity retailer and energy services company.
The Spring team provided comprehensive advice to Oomi throughout the transaction, covering strategic preparation, negotiations, and deal execution. Deep industry understanding and strong transactional expertise were key to achieving the objectives in a deal that creates a leading player in the sector. The merger supports Oomi’s growth strategy and its goal of offering competitive products to customers while delivering an excellent customer experience to an increasing number of Finns.

The electricity retail M&A sector has been active in recent years, and the planned merger continues this trend. The sector is based on high volumes, where a larger customer base enables more customer-oriented services, greater investments in digital development, and more effective electricity market risk management.
Oomi and Lumme Energia together have more than 800,000 customers across Finland. The terms or purchase price of the business transaction will not be disclosed. Completion of the arrangement is subject to approval by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
